Waiting by Kevin Henkes

 

Waiting by Kevin Henkes is about five toys, a pig with an umbrella, a bear with a kite, a puppy on a sled, a rabbit with an accordian body, and an owl with spots patiently wait for whatever comes outside of their window, whether it is snow, rain, wind, or lightning.  They may also wait for a new toy to come inside their window.  They are good with whatever happens.  Sometimes now toys come and go.  Sometimes they see beautiful events outside the window, like a rainbow or fireworks.  They are happy with the things that come and go.
