Stop! Bot! by James Yang

Stop! Bot! is written and illustrated by James Yang.  It is the winner of the 2020 Geisel Award for most distinguished American book for young readers.  A young boy lives in the city and one day he goes for a walk with his family.  He stops to show the doorman his bot.  Suddenly it begins to float towards the sky.  He yells, ¨Stop, Bot!¨ and the doorman runs up to each floor of the building to try to catch it, along with the help of residents.  Many different people, such as musicians and baseball players try to help.  Even zoo animals start to help.  Readers will enjoy reading to find out if they are able to catch the bot before it is too late.

Yang, J. (2019). Stop! Bot! Viking, an imprint of Penguin Random House LLC.
